Summer Beauty Haul

Thursday, 13 August 2015

Over the past few months I've collected quite a few make-up bits. It was my prom at the beginning of July and as I did my own make-up I needed wanted some new treats. I also went on holiday so of course duty free shopping was done!

Urban Decay Naked Skin foundation in 2.0 £27.00
My lovely Mum treated me to this as a gift after my exams, the shade is a perfect match and its a really long lasting formula. I find that the coverage is buildable too.

Revlon Lipstick in 460 Blushing Mauve £7.99
Revlon Colourburst Balm Stain in 001 Honey Douce £7.99
Revlon is often on 2 for £10 so thats why I bought these two together. I wore the lipstick for my Prom and I was really pleased with the colour, it's just a classic shade. I then wore the Balm Stain for the after party as it was easy to apply and maintain in the party environment.

Maybelline Color Tattoo in On and on Bronze £4.99
This was my eye base for prom, I love the consistency of the color tattoos as they blend really easily. I put this all over the lid and then put Urban Decay's sidecar on top and it looks lovely, it's my current make-up look.

Maybelline Master Sculpt in 01 Light/Medium £6.99
This is the best contour product I've tried so far, it's a lovely colour and I like the finish. I'm not too keen on the highlighter as it's quite shimmery but I don't hate it.

Mac lipstick in Spirit £15.50
Mac lip pencil in Spice £12.50
I bought this combination in the airport on my way to Spain so they were a really good price. I've wanted the perfect 'browny nude' for a while now and I'm so happy with these two.

Thank you for reading and if you want to know anything more about the things I've bought then please let me know! x

My Pamper Essentials

Wednesday, 24 June 2015

With summer fast approaching, one of the most important things to me is feeling and looking my best. I'm not talking about anything drastic like cutting out carbs from your diet and going on a 10 mile run every day, I just mean a having good pamper. So today I though I would share with you my favourite products that I use to do just that.

Body Scrub

For me, this is a biggy. Long gone are the day where you were able to hide scaly legs under jeans and tights, so I want to feel as smooth as possible in order to bare my legs in a pair of shorts.
As an 'everyday' exfoliator I love this 'Sanctuary Spa Gentle Polish Body Scrub', as the name suggests it is very gentle so doesn't irritate my skin if I overuse it. However for a more intense and luxurious scrub I love the 'Body Shop Mango Sugar Body Scrub', this product is very oily so it leaves a lovely film on the skin. A major bonus of this product is the amazing smell, it is genuinely good enough to eat.

Body Lotion

Personally, if I'm taking the time to have a pamper session then I want to use something really thick to hydrate my body so for this reason my pampering product of choice is a body butter. I have two recommendations- 'Soap and Glory The Righteous Butter' which is my all time favourite, and the 'Sanctuary Spa Luxurious Body Butter'. If I want the smell to linger then I opt for the Soap and Glory one, however for something that leaves my body feeling extra soft I love the Sanctuary one.

Skin Care

On a pamper evening I love nothing more than using a face mask, I love how relaxed they make me as well as providing lots of skin benefits. Typically I opt for a 'Montagne Jeunesse' mask as they are cheap and come in many different forms, however there are some great ones available from places like Boots at very reasonable places.

Hair Care

Before I get into my bath I like to apply a hair mask then put my hair into a bun, this allows the product to sink into my hair and really nourish it whilst I bathe. I don't tend to spend a lot of money on hair masks as my hair is in quite good condition so I usually just buy them for the smell. I am currently using the 'Macadamia Oil Extract Hair Mask' which can be found in home-bargains and body care.

Extras

Painting my nails is a big part of my pamper evenings and after I do that I like to apply a foot cream and a hand cream. My favourite hand cream for pampering is the 'Soap and Glory Hand Food' and my favourite foot cream is the 'Sanctuary Intensive Heel Balm', I then put on a pair of fluffy socks to allow the cream to really get to work.

These products are just a few little things that I use on a pamper night, I'd love to know if you have any products that you think I should try!
